Trekanten office building
An office complex in Danderyd, Sweden, has disconnected from the district energy grid in favor of a more sustainable alternative. Rather than purchasing cooling, heating and electricity separately, only the latter is needed to power the heat pumps that heats and cools the property. The heat pump-based energy system, provided by Energy Machines, is powered by solar cells and extracts thermal energy from the bedrock.
The energy investment made has significantly decreased the emissions of the office complex and the tenants can now enjoy silent, comfortable heating and cooling, less maintenance disruptions, and a reduced carbon footprint – at a reduced operational cost.
